SL Budget

SL Budget Report

The SL Overlay SL Budget report is similar to the Dynamics SL Budget Distribution report. It displays 13 data columns which shows the total budget amount and each column to the right displays the distribution amounts of the budget over time. Column 1 is the total budget amount. Column 2 through 13 starts with the period designated in the Starting Period Date with one column for each consecutive period. The report may cross fiscal years. For example, if the Starting Period Date selected is 06-2020, the final column will be 05-2021.

To access the SL Overlay Budget report, navigate to G/L Budgets, open an existing budget, then select Reports from the ribbon, and select Budget. You can also access it in the search menu by entering either SL Budget or Budget.

• The Starting Period Date filters are based on the Fiscal Period on the Accounting Periods page.

• By Period Starting with.., on the header of the report, will fill in with the Fiscal Period from the Accounting Periods page selected in the Starting Period Date – currently it reads P1, P2, etc.

• The Start Date will automatically fill in with the first day of the Starting Period Date selected.

• The G/L Account filter automatically displays No. and Account Type. Also promote Income/Balance to automatically display in this section.

• In the Filter Totals By: Shortcut Dimensions 7 and 8 are not available for selection or display in the report.
