SL Vendor Detail Trial Balance Report

The SL Overlay SL Vendor – Detail Trial Balance report is similar to the Dynamics SL Vendor Period Trial Balance report which lists purchasing (accounts payable) activity by vendor for specified time periods. For each vendor, the report lists the vendor’s vouchers, any adjustments to the vouchers, purchasing checks processed and issued to the vendor and the vendor’s current purchasing (accounts payable) balance. The SL Overlay adds shortcut dimensions and a fiscal period field to make the report function more like the Dynamics SL Vendor Period Trial Balance report.

You can access the report on the Role Center > SL Reports menu or by using the search feature and searching for SL Vendor Period Trial Balance.

• The SL Overlay adds functionality to the SL Vendor Period Trial Balance report to allow users to filter on Shortcut Dimensions 3 through 8 by adding a filter option for each Shortcut Dimension in the filtering list for Filter Totals By…. To filter by dimensions, in the Filter Totals by section, select a dimension value from the dropdown next to the dimension you wish to use as a filter.

Note

The Budget Filter is a required field to run the report. Select a budget from the list before previewing report. If Budget Filter is left blank, you will receive an error message "Budget Filter is required".

• The SL Overlay also adds fiscal period functionality to the Select Options page. You can choose the date range of the report by selecting the Beginning Period and Ending Period in the format MM-YYYY (fiscal period).

Note

If you enter a period range for Beginning Period and Ending Period, this will override any entries in the Date filter field. and dates entered are not used.

To use the Fiscal Period option in reporting, you will first need to activate Enable Fiscal Period Feature in the Fiscal Period fast tab of SL Overlay Setup. For more information on the SL Overlay Setup page, see: SL Overlay Setup
